About Man Time

Man Time is a Stone, Staffordshire -based support group creating a safe, welcoming space for men facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, loneliness and PTSD

We offer an informal, confidential environment where men can talk, listen, connect with others and find support without pressure or judgement. Whether someone comes along for a chat, companionship, or help through a difficult time, they are welcome.

Man Time is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), registered in England and Wales as a charity (Charity No. 1219553), governed by its trustees. We are not a crisis service, but we can help signpost people to appropriate local and professional support where needed.

Headspace FC

We are proud partners with Headspace FC CIC, a football group based in Stoke-on-Trent for adults who want to stay active, meet new people and take a break from day-to-day pressures.

Man Time may be a small group, but we have big ambitions. We want to support as many men as possible across Stone, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas.

So if you connect with our cause, we’d love to hear from you – whether you’d like to attend, donate, volunteer or explore partnership opportunities, get in touch!

Ian Goodship

Ian Goodship is Chair and Treasurer of Man Time, providing leadship and helping shape the long-term direction of the group.

He has worked as a paramedic for 30 years and continues to serve part-time, bringing extensive experience of supporting people through some of life’s most difficult moments. Through this, Ian has developed a strong understanding of Complex PTSD and the impact it can have on individuals and families.

Outside of Man Time, Ian is a musician, an avid Land Rover enthusiast and off-roader, and enjoys working with his hands – including running his own forge!

Ian is passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where men feel able to open up, connect and realise they are not alone.

Stephen Williams

Stephen Williams is Secretary of Man Time, coordinating and supporting everything from governance and partnerships to community outreach and the group’s communications.

He currently works in risk and governance and spent more than 20 years working in Health, Safety and Wellbeing within the telecommunications industry. Stephen came to the group seeking support himself, and now he is passionate about helping the group grow so that more men can access the same support, connection and understanding that helped him during a difficult time.

Outside of Man Time, Stephen enjoys getting hands -on with projects, whether that’s working in the garden, restoring classic cars, or taking on walks to some of the UK’s highest peaks, Yr Wyddfa, Scafell Pike and hopefully Ben Nevis.

Pete Goodship

Pete Goodship is a Trustee of Man Time, supporting the development of the group and helping extend its reach within the local community.

He worked as a paramedic for 40 years and has a wide range of experience across a variety of roles, bringing with him a wealth of life experience and a deep understanding of supporting people through challenging situations.

Now retired, Pete is still rarely still – he’s Chair of a local outdoor pursuits club and always seems to have a project on the go, never quite finding time to relax.

Pete is passionate about creating a relaxed, welcoming environment where men feel comfortable being themselves and starting conversations that matter.
